Curriculum Design

Women Making Utah History website and curriculum

Developed “Women Making Utah History,” a social studies and English language art curriculum with additional educational resources about Utah’s and the national women’s suffrage movement for Better Days 2020. This project also involved identifying women, researching their stories, writing and editing biographies, and overseeing a collection of 50 illustrations of these women by Brooke Smart. This collection of 50 is not only in an online format, but also a set of 50 trading cards, a children’s book, and a traveling exhibit throughout Utah.

Bookclub in a box

Selected Sue Monk Kidd’s The Invention of Wings to pair with the PBS documentary about Martha Hughes Cannon and wrote the “Book Club in a Box” discussion questions as a partnership between KUED Channel 7 and Better Days 2020.
